RS-485 Automatic Transceiver with Isolation
The SM485M and RSM3485M are isolated, ultra‑compact RS‑485 high‑speed automatic transceiver switching modules. They provide electrical isolation between microcontrollers, ARMs, and other UART‑interface devices and the RS‑485 bus, thereby eliminating loop currents caused by ground potential differences among communication nodes, reducing noise interference, improving communication quality, and enhancing data transmission stability.
The RSM485M/RSM3485M features automatic transceiver switching control, eliminating the need for the controller to supply separate RS‑485 transmit/receive switching signals; the module autonomously toggles between transmit and receive modes based on the incoming signal. With a maximum data rate of 500 kbps and an integrated isolated DC/DC converter, it requires only a single power supply at the UART port, while the bus side needs no additional isolated power supply or external components.
