RS-232 Isolated Transceiver Module
RSM232 is an RS‑232 isolated transceiver module that provides electrical isolation between the UART‑side control circuitry and the RS‑232 bus side. It eliminates loop currents caused by ground potential differences between two communication nodes, reduces noise interference, enhances communication quality, and improves bus stability.
The module integrates an isolated DC/DC converter, enabling single‑supply operation on the UART side while eliminating the need for an additional isolated power supply or other external components on the bus side, thus achieving 2500 VDC of electrical isolation.
Internally, the module incorporates digital isolation components, supporting signal isolation transmission rates of up to 250 kbps and enabling bidirectional conversion between TTL levels and RS‑232 protocol levels. It also features strong electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, capable of withstanding contact ESD voltages exceeding ±8 kV.
